for cello and percussion ensemble

This piece was written over a few days of summer 2025 after attending the New Music on the Bayou Festival in Louisiana. That festival is always a great chance to hear and appreciate new sounds and compositional voices, and this piece was in part a product of being exposed to new creative approaches.

The piece features the cello as a sort of soliloquy, along with five percussionists positioned antiphonally around the space.
